The delegation of Abkhazia arrived in Damascus to participate in the opening ceremony of the RA Embassy in Syria on October 6.

Alkhas Kvitsinia conveyed greetings to Bashar al-Assad from President Aslan Bzhania and wishes to the people of Syria peace and prosperity.

Head of the Syrian Arab Republic expressed a desire to personally meet his Abkhaz counterpart and discuss issues of cooperation between the two countries.

Alkhas Kvitsinia noted that the people of Abkhazia express support to the people of Syria in their desire to protect the country from international terrorism, to preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Today, the Abkhaz delegation also met with Prime Minister of the SAR Husein Arnus and Minister of Foreign Affairs Walid Mual.
