Wednesday, 03 March 2021 17:37 488

Sukhum. March 2, 2021. Apsnypress. Representatives of the opposition political forces, parliament deputies and head of the Presidential Office Alkhas Kvitsinia have ended the talks.

Representatives of the opposition political forces Aslan Bartsits (Forum of National Unity of Abkhazia), Vitaly Gabniya (Apsny party), Timur Gulia (PO Aruaa), Adgur Ardzinba (PO Abkhazian People's Movement), Timur Nadaraya expressed outrage about the trip of the presidential assistant Benur Kviraya to Georgia. The opposition demanded the resignation of Benur Kviraya.

At the end of the meeting, Speaker Valeriy Kvarchia came out to those gathered at the Parliament building and said that on Wednesday, March 3, the deputies would discuss the current situation.

“We were also outraged by the trip and videos spread on social networks yesterday. For tomorrow we planned to hold an extended meeting on the issue of illegal mining of cryptocurrencies, but in connection with today's events, we decided to discuss them. If you agree with this, then we will have a meeting tomorrow. We will not leave this case like that, ”said the speaker.

One of the activists of the opposition political forces, the ex-head of the Gal district Administration Timur Nadaraya also told the audience that the MPs will also discuss the issue of banning any Georgian-Abkhaz trade and economic relations until Georgia recognizes the independence of Abkhazia.

Nadaraya also expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that information on the appointments and dismissals of presidential advisers and aides is either not published at all, or is not announced in a timely manner.

“At a meeting in Parliament, the head of the presidential office, Alkhas Kvitsinia, told that President could not resign Benur Kviraya from his post, since he resigned from his post as assistant to president on February 19 himself. We agree that from now on the website of the head of state will timely publish information on the appointments and dismissals of all full-time and non-staff advisers and assistants, ” he said.
