There took place a substantive discussion of topical issues of regional security.
In the context of preparations for the next round of Geneva discussions scheduled for late March, the Russian side emphasized the continuation of substantive work on an agreement on the non-use of force between Georgia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as the early start of the process of delimitation and demarcation state border between the three specified countries.
It was confirmed that the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM) on the Georgian border with South Ossetia and Abkhazia remain the most optimal formats for solving problems in the border area. In this regard, there was expressed a hope for an early resumption of the meetings of the Georgian-Abkhaz IPRM in Gal.
