Currently there are 148 people hospitalized in Gudauta Central Hospital, 123 of them have COVID-19 diagnosis. There are 27 people in serious condition, 62 patients of moderate severity. 11 patients were discharged.

The total number of detected cases of coronavirus in Abkhazia today is 3306 people. 1,289 people have recovered. 33 died.

A 61-year-old patient in serious condition with bilateral polysegmental pneumonia and second-degree respiratory failure was delivered to Gudauta hospital on October 18. The patient has a confirmed coronavirus infection. Despite the intensive therapy, the woman died on October 21 due to acute cardiopulmonary failure.

There are 21 patients with confirmed coronavirus diagnosis in mobile multidisciplinary hospital deployed on the territory of the Aytar boarding house in Sukhum. The state of health of 20 patients is of moderate severity, 1 person is in serious condition.

The operational headquarters calls on the citizens of Abkhazia to observe all necessary precautions to avoid infection.
