This became possible due to close interaction of the ministries of health of Abkhazia and Russia. Test systems of the Russian scientific center "Vector" were sent by the Russian side to assist Abkhazia in the fight against the spread of infection. This is the second batch of humanitarian aid sent by Rospotrebnadzor to the republic. Earlier, at the request of the Ministry of Health of Abkhazia, the same number of test systems and reagents were received.
“Today we received a large batch of test systems from the manufacturer “Vector”. Rospotrebnadzor gave them to us. We really needed this help. Now we can work without stopping and do all the tests that are brought to us on time. 1000 test systems are 10 thousand studies of 10 thousand people. This batch, since we process up to 400 tests per day, will last 25-30 days. This is a significant help, ” head of the SES laboratory Astan Avidzba said.
He expressed gratitude to Rospotrebnadzor for help.
Avidzba also noted that in recent days the load on the SES laboratory has decreased, and there are no delays in receiving test results.
“We managed to process all the materials that have accumulated over these days. Everyone knows that we had debts. We have eliminated them all. And today we practically work day after day. We manage to process the material that is brought to us today the next day. This is due to the fact that the tests taking at the points have decreased. We are assisted by mobile military hospital, which took over part of the analyzes. And one more circumstance is that people began to actively do tests in private laboratories, ” said Astan Avidzba.
