A 63-year-old patient died in Gudauta hospital. The man was taken to a medical facility on November 5 with bilateral polysegmental pneumonia, and later was diagnosed with a new coronavirus infection. The patient received all the necessary treatment, but nevertheless died on the morning of December 17th.

There are 35 patients with COVID-19 in Sukhum infectious hospital.

The mobile multidisciplinary hospital is treating 59 patients with coronavirus infection. 54 patients are of moderate severity, 5 people in serious condition.

The total number of detected cases of coronavirus in Abkhazia today is 7602 people. 101 deaths. 5655 people have recovered.
