The meeting discussed issues of interaction between the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation, as well as the results of the 2020 season, cooperation in the field of tourism, including the development of the tourism industry.

Doguzova expressed interest in developing Russian-Abkhaz cooperation.

The heads of tourism departments outlined plans for the Moscow international exhibition MITT. The result of the negotiations was a decision on the preparation and further signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation.

MITT is the largest travel exhibition in Russia in the category "Tourism and Leisure" and an international business platform for countries, regions and travel companies from all over the world that present their products and services on the Russian market.

During the meeting, Doguzova, an Ossetian by nationality, noted a special relationship with the Abkhaz people. “I don't consider you strangers. We are native people, ” she said.

Minister of Tourism of Abkhazia thanked the Head of the Federal Agency of the Russian Federation for the fruitful meeting and warm welcome.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Abkhazia to Russia Igor Akhba, and Chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation Dmitry Davydenko.
