“Significant sights such as Ritsa National Park and the New Athos Cave are visited very actively. A large number of Russian citizens come from the Krasnodar Territory, and they get there from all regions. We now have days when 50 or even 100 buses with excursionists cross the border from Russia. This has never happened before, ” Teimuraz Khishba said.

Representatives of the tourism industry of Abkhazia confirmed their interest. According to them, hotels are already receiving reservations for the spring and summer.

Russian tour operators are also preparing for the season. Experts of the National Tour Operator ALEAN, in turn, explain that the demand for rest in Abkhazia will be supported by more attractive prices in comparison with the Krasnodar Territory. For example, a two-week stay for two in Solnechny boarding house in May will cost 33,600 rubles , and in July - 39,200.
