There were held regular consultations within the framework of the foreign policy coordination mechanism between the ministries of foreign affairs of Russia and Abkhazia. They were attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation Igor Akhba and Director of the Fourth Department of the CIS Countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry Denis Gonchar.
