The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Abkhazia Kristina Ozgan, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Sergey Nazarov, representatives of Russian banks participating in the program, Director of the State Investment Agency under the RA Ministry of Economy Ilona Lakerbaya and Abkhaz borrowers.

The meeting was devoted to problems of completing the started projects related to servicing loans and the unsettled debt accumulated over three years and possibilities for further implementation of similar investment projects in Abkhazia.

The ways out of the crisis were identified during the meeting. The proposals of the Abkhaz side on restructuring the formed debt and optimization of the interest rate were also considered.

By March 1, 2021, borrowers must provide updated financial models, contracts with counterparties and projected financial results to ensure the repayment of the debt.
