According to press service of the head of state, Bzhania thanked the delegation members and everyone who participated in the official visit organization. He expressed satisfaction with the visit results and noted that they will undoubtedly contribute to multilateral, mutually beneficial cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Syrian Arab Republic.

During the visit to Damascus, there were discussed issues of cooperation in the fields of economy, banking, agriculture, tourism, education and culture.

President instructed the Presidential Office and the Government to work out concrete steps to implement the agreements reached.

Aslan Bzhania instructed chairman of the State Committee for Repatriation, Vadim Kharazia, to strengthen contacts with the Abkhaz diaspora in Syria and actively assist those wishing to return to their historical homeland.

There were also discussed other issues during the meeting.
