Trade turnover for seven months of 2020 amounted to 13 billion 823 million rubles

Sukhum. August 18, 2020. Apsnypress. Prime Minister Alexander Ankvab met with Chairman of the State Customs Committee Guram Inapshba.

According to Cabinet of Ministers' press service, SCC's chairman presented data on foreign economic activity for seven months, as well as the amount of budgetary charges for various types of customs payments.

Thus, the republic's trade turnover, as of August 1, amounted to 13 billion 823 million rubles, while the forecast figure was 15 billion 897 million rubles. Imports for this period amounted to 10 billion 54 million rubles, and exports - 3 billion 768 million rubles.

He explained that due to volume increase of some exported types of goods, 2020 will surpass the previous year in terms of turnover. In addition, there are commodity items whose exports in 2020 significantly exceed imports. For example, the export of strawberries for seven months of 2020 increased by 39 million rubles compared to the same period in 2019. The volume of berries exported amounted to 274 tons as of August 1, and 13 tons for the whole of 2019.

Tomatoes are also in one of the leading export positions, the export volume of which for seven months of 2020 amounted to 740 tons, while the import was 184 tons. About 500 tons were exported for the same period in 2019.

The level of walnut exports for seven months of 2020 is already equal to annual indicator of previous year, about 364 tons. Only 13 tons of hazelnuts were exported during the same period in 2019.

As for customs payments made for import and export for 7 months of 2020, the total amount of charges amounted to 938 million rubles, with the plan of 1 billion 107 million rubles.

“Charges on excise tax amounted to 102 million rubles, 107 million rubles - duties for imports, 237 million rubles - customs duty for imports. Payments for value added tax on imported goods amounted to 425 million rubles against the plan of 510 million rubles, ” Inapshba said.
