For her part, chief state sanitary doctor of Abkhazia Lyudmila Skorik expressed gratitude for the assistance provided.

“Today we have received much-needed assistance from international organizations, and I want to thank WHO for the technical support and advice they are constantly providing to Abkhazia. I also express my deep gratitude to the European Union, UNHCR and USAID for the provided personal protective equipment for medical workers, disinfectants, laboratory supplies and printing equipment, ” Skorik said.

Part of the humanitarian cargo, which includes disinfectants, personal protective equipment, special suits and oxygen concentrators, will be used to treat patients with severe disease, who was sent to Gudauta Central Hospital.
