This is the first meeting of the working group on insurance, which was attended by representatives of the Public Council of Rostourism and Russian insurers.

During the meeting, there were discussed results of the tourist season of 2021 and issues related to organization of insurance of Russian citizens on the territory of Abkhazia during their vacation.

The meeting participants exchanged statistical information regarding the organization of medical care in the territory of Abkhazia. They also discussed insurance products that Russian companies offer to tourists visiting the republic.

The meeting participants agreed to prepare proposals and a "road map" to improve the safety guarantees of Russian tourists during their holidays through insurance products.

The working group on proposals preparation for improving the insurance industry was created by order of President Aslan Bzhania in order to ensure insurance activities, development of compulsory insurance against accidents of foreign citizens and stateless persons arriving in Abkhazia, as well as compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicles owners of foreign individuals and legal entities.
