The meeting was also attended by Assistant to President of Nicaragua Laureano Ortega and Mayor of Managua Reina Rueda.

The parties discussed a number of issues of mutual interest during the meeting. Further, there was signed an action plan for interaction between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Nicaragua for 2022. The solemn signing of an agreement on the establishment of twinning relations between Sukhum and Managua took place.

The delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia headed by Foreign Minister Daur Kove is on a visit to Nicaragua. It participates as an international observer on presidential and parliamentary elections. The elections took place on November 7.
