Wolfgang Matzke, the representative of the RA CCI in Germany, did a great job in organizing and implementing this project. For several months he negotiated with the chairman of the IWR and the manager of the Bulthaup Cooking Room studio. Having received an official invitation, he transported Abkhaz products and CCI booklets about Abkhazia.

Wolfgang Matzke made a presentation on Abkhazia, spoke about his activities. The audience was presented with a film of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry about Abkhazia in English.

Plenipotentiary Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia in Germany Khibla Amichba and two of our compatriots - Valentina Graupner (Khvatlandzia) from Kirchberg (Saxony) and Valentina Maan from Berlin took an active part in the event and provided all-round support for it to take place. Khibla Amichba made a welcoming speech and told the guests about the unique nature, history, culture and longevity of Abkhazia.

Traditional Abkhaz dishes were prepared on the Bulthaup equipment in front of the invited guests, who were given the opportunity to taste abysta (mamalyga) with Abkhaz smoked cheese, asydzbal sauce, arashikh (chicken in a nut sauce), achapa (a national snack made from chopped walnuts and boiled vegetables with herbs and spices), adjika, fig marshmallow, adjinjikhua, dried persimmon, and, of course, Abkhazian wines produced by Wine and Waters of Abkhazia and Achara chacha from Chateau Abkhaz.The tasting took place in a friendly atmosphere accompanied by Abkhaz music written by Khibla Amichba, who is a member of the German Composers' Union.

There were many people wishing to attend the tasting, especially among representatives of the business community, but due to measures related to coronavirus infection, the number of guests had to be limited.

Bulthaup is a German kitchen furniture manufacturer in Germany that won the German Design Award in 2014 and ranked fifth in the Top 30 Kitchen Design Companies ranking. The company is a laureate of the European Design Prize of the European Commission and the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany.
