This day is of great historic importance for both our countries. It has marked the desire of our peoples to develop and maintain the full-scale relationship. It laid the foundation for strategic partnership of Abkhazia and Russia. 

Our state consistently realise basic principles of interstate and interdepartmental agreements and treaties. We are conducting an active political dialogue. There was held a whole set of mutual economic, humanitarian and other projects. 

We are convinced that fruitful cooperation between Abkhazia and Russia will further be actively developed. Including the new areas of interaction", the RA MFA notes.
