Currently there are 146 patients at Gudauta Covid Hospital, 123 of them have COVID-19 diagnosis. There are 17 people in a serious condition, 47 patients is of moderate severity. 8 people were discharged after treatment.

20 people recovered on self isolation.

A covid-positive patient born in 1946 died at Gudauta hospital on October 1. He was admitted to the intensive care unit on September 30 with severe respiratory failure on the background of bilateral polysegmental subtotal pneumonia. The  patient was immediately connected to a ventilator, however, despite all the therapy, on the morning of October 1, the patient died from an increase in respiratory and heart failure. The man had severe concomitant diseases of the cardiovascular system.

The total number of detected cases of coronavirus in Abkhazia today is 1525 people. Of these, 558 recovered, 12 deaths.

The operational headquarters calls on the citizens of Abkhazia to observe all necessary precautions to avoid infection.
