Currently there are 138 patients at Gudauta Covid Hospital, 117 of them have been diagnosed with COVID-19. There are 17 people in serious condition, 46 patients of moderate severity. 19 people were discharged after treatment.

A covid-positive patient, born in 1947 was admitted to the intensive care unit  with bilateral polysegmental pneumonia on October 23, he died at Gudauta hospital on October 4. Despite the ongoing therapy, the patient's condition worsened, and he was transferred to a ventilator. However, on October 4, the patient died from an increase in respiratory and heart failure. A man has diseases of the heart and pulmonary system.

A 64-year-old covid-positive patient died at Gudauta hospital on October 5. He was admitted to the intensive care unit of Gudauta Central Hospital 40 minutes before death with severe respiratory and cardiovascular insufficiency on the background of total bilateral polysegmental pneumonia. The patient was immediately connected to a ventilator, however, despite all the resuscitation measures carried out, the man soon died from an increase in respiratory and heart failure.

The total number of coronavirus cases detected in Abkhazia today is 1765 people. Of these, 640 recovered. 15 died.

The operational headquarters calls on the citizens of Abkhazia to observe all necessary precautions to avoid infection.
