The WHO delegation arrived in Abkhazia on November 2 with a 10-day mission, during which they will monitor medical institutions in Abkhazia.

During the working meeting, the issues of combating coronavirus infection, methods of its diagnosis and treatment protocols for patients in accordance with WHO recommendations were discussed.

The WHO representatives noted that they were satisfied with the implementation of previously proposed recommendations. According to them, all recommendations were implemented.

WHO experts informed the minister about plans to monitor medical institutions of the republic in order to provide medical assistance not only to patients with coronavirus infection, but also to patients with general somatic diseases. It was also about the provision of humanitarian assistance to provide medical institutions in Abkhazia with medicines and medical products.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on further fruitful cooperation.
