The parties agreed that they will create favorable conditions for cooperation in the field of tourism on the principles of partnership that meets the interests of the Republic of Abkhazia and the city of St. Petersburg (Russian Federation) within their competence and in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation

The parties will carry out the necessary joint activities to establish direct contacts between the subjects of the tourism industry, as well as industry associations.

The Parties will promote organized group and individual tourism, as well as the exchange of experts and specialized groups, including for the purpose of attending music and theater festivals, conventions, exhibitions, symposia and congresses held on tourism issues.

The parties will maintain a mutual exchange of statistical, reference, information, advertising, and other materials in the field of tourism.

Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Abkhazia and Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg will assist educational institutions of Abkhazia and St. Petersburg in training and advanced training of professional personnel in the tourism industry.

The memorandum provides the exchange of researchers, officials and journalists specializing in tourism and travel.

The parties will develop interaction in the field of tourism marketing and promotion of tourism products, assist each other in carrying out relevant activities in the territories of both parties.

The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic and the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg will conduct joint research on the tourism market, collect information on investment projects, and identify areas of tourism investment.
