As the Parliament's website reported, Minister presented to deputies detailed information on the state of the healthcare sector, spoke about the tasks faced by the Ministry and the prospects for industry development.

He paid special attention to the situation in connection with the new coronavirus infection. Eduard Butba informed deputies about an increase of COVID-19 in Abkhazia and asked to support the doctors in ensuring necessary measures to avoid the further spread of the dangerous infection.

The meeting participants also discussed the issues of vaccination in the country and the pace of the vaccination campaign.

Answering the numerous questions of the deputies, Eduard Butba expressed the hope that the Parliament will assist the executive power in development and adoption of priority regulatory legal acts.

The meeting was also attended by Speaker of the Parliament Valery Kvarchia, Deputy Speakers Mikhail Sangulia and Said Kharazia, members of the Committee on Social Policy, Labor, Health, Demography and Affairs of Veterans and War Invalids and other deputies of the Parliament, as well as the representative of President of the Republic of Abkhazia in Parliament Saida Butba.
