The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Abkhazia to Russia Igor Akhba and deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

The guests were greeted by Deputy Secretary of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Vladislav Grib.

The meeting discussed the possibility of strengthening friendly ties between civil organizations of the two countries, cooperation in tourism, organizing children's recreation, etc.

Vladislav Grib noted the growing interest of Russian tourists in the resorts of Abkhazia.

The chairman of the All-Russian Association of Tourists Dmitry Davydenko noted that the tourist season passed without serious incidents, with the exception of one incident. In particular, not a single case of mass poisoning of vacationers in Abkhazia was recorded.

State Duma Deputy Artem Prokofiev noted that the organization of recreation for citizens is one of the priorities for the government of the Russian Federation. Evidence of this is the creation of a tourism committee in the State Duma of a new convocation.

Tourism Minister T. Khishba noted that both countries have great potential for cooperation in the field of tourism.

Minister of Tourism Teimuraz Khishba and Chairman of the All-Russian Association of Tourists, Dmitry Davydenko, signed an agreement on the establishment of a bilateral association in the field of the tourism industry.
