As the press service of the RA Cabinet of Ministers reported, the meeting participants discussed possibilities of increasing the maximum value of Russian pensions in Abkhazia and additional payments to them, as well as the prospects for introducing a system of personified information accounting in Abkhazia.

It was also about the problem of returning illegally received pensions after the death of a pensioner. According to the branch of the Russian Pension Fund in Abkhazia, the total number of citizens who illegally received funds from the PFR is more than 700 people.

The total amount of compensation for overpayments required to be returned to the PFR budget is 16 million 600 thousand rubles today.

The Abkhaz side assured the Russian colleagues that they take this problem seriously and will facilitate the return of funds.

At the end of the meeting they discussed some technical issues of the work of the Russian Pension Fund in Abkhazia, the Fund's consulting centers in towns and regions of the republic.

The meeting was attended by the heads of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Social Security of Abkhazia.
