The guests were accompanied by President of RA CCI Tamila Mertskhulava and Russian trade representative in Abkhazia Vladimir Nekrasov.
The participants informed First Deputy Prime Minister on the visit purpose, told about the three-day trip to Abkhazia and the plans.
In addition to representatives of Pyatigorsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Stavropol delegation includes representatives of the region's agriculture business, and tourism industry.
As part of the working visit, the delegates were able to inspect a number of objects in the regions of Abkhazia, get acquainted with the needs of enterprises, with heads of organizations, and outline plans for cooperation.
Based on the results of these meetings, there were identified points of economic interaction between Abkhazia and the Stavropol Territory. It is planned to jointly organize the transportation of fruits and vegetables from Abkhazia for further packaging at canneries in the region and subsequent sale in Russian markets.
In addition, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pyatigorsk will assist in organizing the sale of Abkhazian honey to European markets, as well as in obtaining preliminary certification for the bee products.
According to the meeting participants, the parties also outlined cooperation in the field of tourism. Representatives of tourist facilities are ready to provide the owners of accommodation facilities in Abkhazia with advisory and organizational assistance to expand the range of medical and preventive services offered, having adopted the experience of the Caucasian Mineral Waters sanatorium.
Beslan Dzhopua thanked the meeting participants for their work, expressed his readiness to provide support at all stages of the implementation of plans and future agreements.
