Currently there are 116 patients at Gudauta Covid Hospital, 108 of them have a COVID-19 diagnosis. 16 people are in serious condition, 26 patients of moderate severity. 7 people were discharged after treatment.

52 people recovered on self-isolation.

A 62-year-old man who was admitted to the intensive care unit on September 23 with severe respiratory failure on the background of bilateral polysegmental subtotal pneumonia died at Gudauta hospital on September 27. He was treated  at home for more than a week, after his condition deteriorated, he was hospitalized and connected to a ventilator. However, despite all the measures taken, the patient died from an increase in respiratory and heart failure on September 27. The man had severe concomitant heart disease.

The total number of detected cases of coronavirus in Abkhazia today is 1387 people. Of these 494 recovered, 11 died.

The operational headquarters calls on the citizens of Abkhazia to observe all necessary precautions to avoid infection.
