Currently there are 134 patients at Gudauta Covid Hospital, 110 of them have been diagnosed with COVID-19. 18 people are in serious condition, 38 patients of moderate severity.13 people were discharged after treatment.

A patient with a positive PCR test, born in 1947, who was admitted to the intensive care unit on September 29 with bilateral polysegmental pneumonia and respiratory failure, died at Gudauta hospital on October 5. Despite the ongoing therapy, the patient's condition worsened, and he was connected to a ventilator. The patient died from an increase in respiratory and heart failure on October 5. The man had concomitant somatic diseases.

The total number of detected cases of coronavirus in Abkhazia today is 1,976 people. Of these, 668 recovered, 16 died.
