The inspection was attended by Chairman of the State Customs Committee Guram Inapshba, Deputy Chairman of the State Security Service of Abkhazia, Head of the Border Detachment of the State Security Service Rustam Latipov and other heads of customs and border departments.

The Russian side was represented by Sergey Makhorin, Deputy Head of the Border Directorate in Sochi of the FSB Directorate for the Krasnodar Territory, Head of the Customs Service Department of the Krasnodar Territory Vyacheslav Kitaysky, official representative of the Customs Service of the Russian Federation in Abkhazia Konstantin Kozlov.

The head of state was informed about the throughput at the state border. These issues were discussed during the working trip of President Aslan Bzhania to the Russian Federation from 9 to 19 December.

As a result of the measures taken, the maximum time for inspecting one heavy vehicle is no more than 4 hours.

About 35 thousand tons of citrus fruits have been exported to Russia. In general, according to the State Customs Committee, the citrus harvest this year was 3.5 times higher than the same period in 2019. The peak is expected on the eve of the New Year.
