"All the issues that were brought up for discussion, in particular, the issue of crossing the state border during the tourist season, interaction between the Ministry of Health and Rospotrebnadzor, the fight against Covid-19, cooperation with the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute, have been resolved," Tsakhnakia said.
At the same time, Minister noted that "chief state sanitary doctor of Russia confirmed that the regime of crossing the state border for citizens of the Russian Federation and citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia in both directions remains unchanged, within the framework of the decree of the government of the Russian Federation in 2020. There will be no other restrictions here."
"We reaffirmed the need to comply with all restrictive measures, including personal protective measures, necessary in order to minimize the risk of infection,” Tsakhnakia said.
According to Minister, there has been recorded an increase of morbidity in Abkhazia, appropriate adjustments for crossing the state border will be made in the event of an epidemiological situation worsening.
"It is very important for our population and all those who will enter the territory of the republic to observe elementary protection measures," Tsakhnakia said.
Also, according to Minister, there was signed an important document with the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute.
“We signed an action plan on interaction between the Ministry of Health of Abkhazia and the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute. There will be carried out the study of the Covid-19 virus strain circulating in Abkhazia, as well as the study of the immune status of patients. Also the treatment of patients, preventive measures, including vaccination, " Tsakhnakia noted.
The meeting also discussed a draft agreement between the Ministry of Health and Rospotrebnadzor.
"First of all, it will be aimed at ensuring sanitary and epidemiological well-being on the territory of neighboring states," Tsakhnakia summed up.
