As the RA President's press service reported, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad arrived at the temporary residence of President of Abkhazia in Damascus and invited Aslan Bzhania to an official breakfast. As a sign of special respect, Bashar al-Assad was driving the car to the restaurant himself.

President of Abkhazia thanked Bashar al-Assad for the warm welcome extended to him and the entire Abkhaz delegation.

“We felt a particularly warm attitude towards Abkhazia from people and leadership of Syria every minute we were on your land,” said Aslan Bzhania.

“I am sure that the results of official meetings will bring mutual benefit to the citizens of Abkhazia and Syria, and our friendship will contribute to even more active development of interstate relations,” President of Abkhazia stressed.

Aslan Bzhania wished Bashar al-Assad success in the upcoming presidential elections and new victories in serving the people of Syria. President invited his Syrian counterpart to visit Abkhazia at any time convenient for him.

President of Syria conveyed the wishes of peace and prosperity to the people of Abkhazia. “I haven’t been in Abkhazia yet, but I miss it already,” Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said.
